Corolla

The quaint fishing village of Corolla on the northern Outer Banks remained isolated from its neighbors to the south until 1984, when NC Highway 12 was extended north from the Dare County line. Since then, Corolla and the surrounding area have become one of the top travel destinations on the Outer Banks.

With wide sandy beaches, beautiful sunsets, extensive four-wheel drive area north of the village, wild horses, and world class accommodations and amenities, it's no wonder that Corolla was voted as one of the 10 best undiscovered beaches on the East Coast by USA Today.
